Not particularly my type of joint. It does have plenty of character and art all around but it just didn't appeal to me. The most important thing is that the coffee is good here. Definitely would consider a to go cup should I be in the area again.

Some of the best coffee in town, and a nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy it. Plus, last time I was there, the owner told me I could vape inside, instead of going outside to do it, so I now have another reason to go there and hang out! Additionally, they do an open mic night there on Saturdays from 6 to 9 pm, which mostly includes local people from the recovery community playing music and singing. And many of them are pretty good!

Cool little coffee shop. A good choice among all the others in town. I do recommend! Nice service and good coffee. If you're looking for something ridiculously fancy, go to Starbucks. Everyone else: stop here!

The service is good, the coffee is good, but the owner Danielle is not a good person. She takes money from musicians that perform there. Ive seen it myself. It's a decent enough cafe ,performers be advised to this dishonest thieving owner. The Allentown art and music scene may suffer a bit much , but this place should be a safe haven to celebrate talent....instead she she will shamelessly pick your pocket while you play .

I was in town for a conference and my coffee shop when in town (Cafe Vida) was closes on Saturday and Sunday, so I arrived at Cafe Java at 7:50.I almost left as there was no one in the store at 7:55 and one knows the espresso machines usually take five to ten minutes to warm up.When the young lady arrived to open the store she needed to get regular coffee percolating, turn on the espresso machine and take the chairs off the table and place chairs and tables our side.
